Digital Filipino Web 2.0 Hands-on Workshop

The best way to learn something new especially in field of ever-fast evolving technology is do a "hands-on" workshop right after learning the theories taught by the mentor.

Today, it was a productive 3-hour endeavor clicking away new applications in the internet. While I'm not HTML-Internet code-savvy, I consider myself an expert in using technology to do business and make money.

Here are some things I learned:

1) Facebook. I just opened an account and my mentor told me that among her social network accounts (Friendster, MySpace, Multiply, LinkedIn, Hi5), this website is most fun to use. She showed me different applications I can add in my page, and I find it easy to do.

2) Twitter. I also opened an account and in 5 minutes, I already got 3 of my friends to tag me and now, I'm in their list of short messages they can send thru my email or cell. Awesome, really good for keeping in touch with highly-mobile people.

3) Google AdSense. I always blog never got to really go beyond just writing. Then, I just found out from lots of friends that they earn some money by just tweaking a Google Adsense in their Blog account. SO finally, today I applied for one. Let's hope that I get some "rewards" in the future by doing what I like doing - writing and sharing ideas.

HAve a great day!
